The Golden Rule Pledge group on Facebook is slated to be archived soon as Facebook makes changes to how groups work.
In response, I created a GRP Fan Page on Facebook here: http://www.facebook.com/goldenrulepledge

This morning Stephanie Samuel wrote an article for the Christian Post about the GRP bullying prevention resources.
“A middle school student who is bullied daily doesn’t care about religious differences. He needs help,” said Warren Throckmorton, a psychology professor at Grove City College in Pennsylvania.
Throckmorton is the co-creator of the Golden Rule Pledge – an initiative that encourages respect and concern toward GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender) persons without compromising beliefs – which has produced a new youth curriculum that tackles gay bashing and bullying.
Today, the Golden Rule Pledge released a series of resources for church youth groups and religious education teachers to help leaders equip themselves and students to prevent bullying.
The resources are available here for free download.
National Bullying Prevention Month is October and various organizations support this initiative via awareness and shared vision for bullying prevention.
Recently, the Golden Rule Pledge was listed as a national partner on the organization’s website.
To do our part, I am asking church youth leaders to designate some time the week of October 20, 2010 (10.20.2010) to call on students to see bullying prevention as part of our witness. If anyone keeps the Golden Rule, it should be people of faith.
We have created a Facebook event page to mark the day which has been designated as a focus of awareness efforts. Please go and read more there and sign up. Click the link below:
